The jewellery industry mourns the massive loss of beloved figure, Paul Dracakis, the founder of Dracakis Jewellers. Paul’s passing marks the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy that has forever transformed the jewellery community, especially throughout Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Dracakis Jewellers announced yesterday the loss of their company’s patriarch, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Paul Dracakis, a remarkable man who was not only a loving father, devoted husband, and cherished grandfather but also a true inspiration to all who knew him… As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary soul, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he led and the profound impact he made on each of us. Rest in peace, dear Paul. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly through the lives you touched.”

Paul, together with his wife Helen, embarked on a journey decades ago, dedicating themselves to building a business that would serve the communities across Sydney’s North Shore. Their tireless efforts and commitment to excellence eventually led to the realisation of their dream in 1980 – the opening of their first jewellery business in Manly.

As Dracakis Jewellers flourished, the couple later relocated their business to Warringah Mall on the Northern Beaches, a move that marked a significant step towards shaping the brand that is now synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship and quality in the region.

Paul’s vision was not just about establishing a business – it was about creating an experience that resonated with each and every client who walked through their doors. With an unwavering commitment to crafting unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, Dracakis Jewellers quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most respected jewellers in the area.

His passion for creativity and innovation was contagious, alongside a team of incredibly talented designers and artisans who shared his vision. Together, they worked diligently to create bespoke pieces that captured the essence of their client’s desires, solidifying their reputation as a go-to destination for exclusive and meaningful jewellery.

Throughout the years, Dracakis Jewellers remained a family-owned and operated business, with Paul at the helm, guiding the company with an unwavering commitment to quality and an unparalleled understanding of his client’s tastes.

The brilliance of Dracakis Jewellers’ creations will forever serve as a testament to the vision and unbeatable spirit of Paul Dracakis. His passing marks the end of an extraordinary chapter, but the legacy he leaves behind will continue to shine brightly, illuminating the path for future generations of jewellery enthusiasts.
