The Congress will feature speakers from around the world including Sun Fengmin (deputy-director and secretary-general of the Gem & Jewelry Trade Association of China), Dr Jack Ogden (CEO of Gem-A ), Johnny Chan (chairman of Worldmart Gems & Jewellery Emporium), and Dr. Graeme Hancock (World Bank).

It will also feature the inaugural ICA Mini-Gem-Jewelry-Service Show features rough and cut gemstones.

ICA immediate past president Joseph Menzie said the Show offers suppliers the opportunity to meet Chinese cutters and jewellery manufacturers.

“Anyone with overstock of cut stones, offered at reduced prices, could also find the diversified Chinese market a significant player to acquire their products,” he said.

The ICA Congress will be held at Chime Long Hotel in Panyu, China from May 5-10.
