Diamonds will be the main topic for discussion at a special one-day workshop in Melbourne on July 19.
On behalf of the Victorian division of the National Council of Jewellery Valuers, registered valuer and award-winning jeweller Garry Holloway will present the workshop which will provide a detailed look at the world’s most famous gemstone.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Where are diamond prices going?
- Deciphering grading reports and diamond cut grades
- Fluorescence in diamonds
- Internet diamond sales
The workshop is aimed at valuers but “in the spirit of bringing education to all, the NCJV and Garry are inviting the retail and wholesale industry” to attend.
The workshop will be held at Gemmology House, 380-382 Spencer Street, West Melbourne from 9am-5pm.
Costs are $99 for NCJV, GAA and JAA members, $121 for non-members and $77 for students.
