For more than a decade ICA has organised GILC in various parts of the world, bringing industry leaders together to present research findings and discuss gemmological and certification or laboratory issues.

Topics to be covered at the conference include:

– Emerald treatments detection and laboratory reports
– Nomenclature for lead glass filled corundum
– Ethical mining, trade and laboratory issues
GILC chairman Sushil Goyal said a report of the discussion and outcomes of GILC in Tucson will be shared with the international gem and jewellery industry after the conference.
