Just 10 months after Iconic Jewellery launched the Confidante Dolls at the Sydney International Jewellery Fair, the dolls’ creator Sarah Jane Adams has begun distributing the brand herself.
Adams said the decision to “split from Iconic” and distribute the Confidante Dolls through Whispers by SJ Jewels (owned by her and business partner David Taylor) would allow the brand to reach its full potential with lower costs and full marketing support.
“We are able to lower the purchase point of the dolls and chains by between 20-25 percent,” she said.
“We have also reduced the cost to the retailer of the minimum buy-in package, and are offering more flexibility and choice to the retailers with their selection of product.
“All the Dolls can be mixed and matched, layered or stacked.
“The Mothers and Daughters also serve as lockets, whilst the babies have a removable bale and may also be worn as earrings or charms.”
Adams said Whispers has new designs ready to add to the current Confidante Dolls collection however these will not be released until next year.
In the meantime the company is also negotiating to take on the distributorship of “an international brand”.
