Opal jewellery designers only have three weekds left to complete their entries for the International Opal Jewellery Design Awards.
The biannual Awards, which were organised by the International Opal Jewellery Design Awards Association to promote freeform and or undulating surface opals, are one of the most prestigious opal jewellery design competitions in the world.
According to the IOJDAA, jewellers (professional), apprentices (currently engaged in a jewellery course) and non-professionals are invited to submit original, completed pieces of jewellery for the Awards competition by July 15 – however entry forms must be in by June 30.
The Award categories are Haute Joaillerie, Professional (jewellery design/manufacture), Apprentice (jewellery design/manufacture), Non-Professional (jewellery design/manufacture), Carving, Object D’Art, Jewellery Hand Sketches and Fantasy (jewellery design/manufacture).
Winners will be announced at the International Opal Jewellery Gala Awards Dinner in Lightning Ridge on July 31.
The Lightning Ridge Opal Festival will be held from July 30 to August 2.
