Scheduled to take place from September, 22 to 26 at the Vicenza’s Exhibition Centre, the show provides a stage for the wonderful world of jewellery
Vicenza, 3rd July 2018 – Preparations are moving into high gear for one of the jewellery world’s most keenly-awaited annual events, VICENZAORO September, which will be held at the Italian Exhibition Group’s venue in Vicenza from September 22 to 26. The fall edition of the trade show takes place during a strategically critical time of the year, when businesses place orders and restock ahead of the end-of-year selling season. This year’s edition of VICENZAORO September will introduce a range of new features.
Joining the September show for the first time will be “The Design Room,” which is an the exhibition concept tailored specifically for independent jewellery designers from around the world. Located within the ICON community, it is provides a space that promotes experimentation and creativity, where some of the industry’s most innovative talent can present original creations. It is an ideal place to learn about market trends and to find exclusive and inspired items of jewellery.
Another strongly-anticipated new entry to the show is the “The Watch Room”, which is an area dedicated exclusively to watches. Set up in the LOOK district, which is the hall dedicated to fashion jewellery, the elegant space will provide extensive visibility to 12 watch brands, presenting and previewing their latest collections.
The varied selection of independent brands featured in the Watch Room produce both mechanical and quartz timepieces, and all are committed to maintaining a carefully balanced quality-price ratio. These are companies with highly dynamic commercial profiles, and growing distribution networks in the Italian and European markets that that they seek to develop further. Their aim is to create, in the best B2B spirit, truly effective and mutually beneficial partnerships between producer-distributors and members of the retail community.
A regular feature of VICENZAORO September, which nonetheless represents the very essence of innovation, involves the launch of the newest edition of TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting’s Trendbook, which forecasts design and consumer trends in jewellery, watches and gemstones 18 months into the future. This year sees the introduction of TrendBook 2020+, and it will be presented at the customary seminar in the VO Square area.
TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting is VICENZAORO’s independent observatory specializing in jewellery trends, consumer attitudes and developments in the international luxury markets. It is the first such observatory worldwide to specialize in jewellery, which is why it traditionally provides one of the Vicenza show’s most highly anticipated moments.
From the technological perspective, VICENZAORO September’s most significant new entry is T.EVOLUTION, which is a section at the show dedicated entirely to small machinery and gold and jewellery processing technologies.
Occupying an entire district of the show, T.EVOLUTION will spotlight companies specializing in the design, production and sale of cutting-edge and high-tech machinery and tools for the gold and jewellery sector. Many focus on 3D printing, which is a technology that is becoming increasingly used in the industry.
VICENZAORO provides a comprehensive overview of the jewellery and gold sectors, meaning that its new features are not only commercial or product-focused. During the 2018 edition of VOS 2018, education and training also receives significant attention, with a rich programme of conferences, workshops and seminars being offered to visitors during all five days of the show.
On the schedule this year is Digital Talks, organized in collaboration with Federpreziosi Confcommercio, focusing on the digital universe that has become an indispensable element in the sector. TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting will look at emerging and future trends, and a new and interesting entry is the Gem Talks, being organized in collaboration with the Italian Gemmological Institute (IGI).
VICENZAORO September will run from September 22 through September 26. Information about opening times and access to the show is already available online at www.VICENZAORO.com.
