Just three years after its launch, Australian fashion accessories retailer Colette by Colette Hayman is set to expand into 17 countries and territories.

Already firmly established in Australia and New Zealand, the company has just opened its first store in Singapore and plans to follow-up with store openings in Mumbai this month and Cape Town, (South Africa) and Sharjah (UAE) in February.

Furthermore, in support of future planned growth the company is also seeking interested retailers willing to invest in a “Colette by Colette Hayman master franchise opportunity” within the key markets of the US, Canada and Europe.

Brainchild of husband and wife team Mark and Colette Hayman, the fast fashion accessories chain, currently has over 100 stores in Australia in addition to five New Zealand franchise stores and an online store which ships to almost 40 countries.

CEO Mark Hayman said the store’s openings in Singapore, Mumbai, Cape Town and Sharjah were “an exciting step in our international franchise program which will result in the opening of 150 new franchised stores internationally over the next three years.”

He said the brand epitomises “fast fashion” with immediate and affordable interpretations of catwalk accessory trends.

“This, combined with the delivery of a fantastic customer experience in-store is the winning formula to the brand’s success.

“The international expansion strategy is designed to bring the same great value and service ethic to consumers in fashion markets around the world.”

The Haymans first struck “retail gold” by conceptualising fashion accessories brand Diva which launched in April 2002.

They sold the brand to partner, Brett Blundy of BB Retail Capital (BBRC) five years later but then re-entered the retail market in 2010 with the opening of their first Colette Accessories store.

The stores, which stock bags, jewellery and other accessories, were re-branded Colette by Colette Hayman in 2012.
