Sydney-based Cerrone Jewellers has just become the first jewellery company in the world to sell Australian Argyle Pink diamonds duty- and tax-free.

Cerrone has begun selling its Beyond Rare Argyle pink diamond jewellery collection at its newly launched SYD Tax & Duty Free Airport boutique at the Sydney International Departures Terminal.

The store is the company’s fourth – the other three are located in suburban Leichhardt and in Sydney’s CBD (in Castlereagh Street and Martin Place).

With over 37 million international travellers through Sydney Airport every year, Cerrone and managing director Nicola Cerrone said the company is excited to launch its fourth store into this highly covetable and prestigious location.

He said The Cerrone Duty Free boutique will showcase Argyle Pink and extremely rare blue diamonds from the more affordable to the exceptionally rare.

‘We are very excited to be the first jewellery company in the world to offer Argyle Pink diamonds duty-free,” he said.

“The boutique (at Sydney Airport) has been carefully designed to reflect the romantic and intimate experience we aim to deliver to all of our customers around the world.

“This gives people a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of Australian rarity.”

Started over 40 years ago in a small terrace house in Leichhardt, Cerrone now boasts the largest handmade jewellery workshop in Australia.
