Bell & Ross arrives in Oz

Lion Brands has announced that it has secured the Bell & Ross luxury watch brand for Australia and New Zealand.

Bell & Ross is a French watch company that was founded in 1992 by designer Bruno Belamich and businessman Carlos A. Rosillo who “assembled a team of military watch enthusiasts and aircraft specialists to create professional watches for the general public”.

Developed and assembled at a watchmaking workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, each of the brand’s watches is based on four principles − readability, functionality, reliability and precision.

Lion Brands founder Graeme Goldman said Bell & Ross timepieces are an ideal fit for the company as the timepieces are Swiss-made, the brand is well known internationally, and the company remains an independently-owned business.

“Bell & Ross timepieces further add to our Swiss multi-brand strategy and perfectly complements our current suite of brands, which allow our retail partners to profit from all price segments of the watch market,” he said.

“Bell & Ross moves Lion Brands more upmarket and into a more luxury watch segment than it has in the past.

“The timepieces are ideally suited to a growing segment of the Australian consumer market and we are delighted to be able to be associated with a company and brand such as Bell & Ross.

“We look forward to building the brand into a powerhouse watch brand in Australia and New Zealand.”
