The Autore Group is expanding its Australian retail presence with the launch of a new Autore jewellery boutique in Broome this month.
According to Autore CEO Rosario Autore, the new 50 square metre boutique is part of a strategic partnership with Willie Creek Pearls aimed at capitalising on the Broome tourist market.
“We believe the new boutique will attract the numerous tourists who visit the area each year, in particular those who visit the pearl farms and experience guided tours,” he said.
The Autore Group has signed a retail licence agreement with Willie Creek to operate and run the boutique.
Willie Creek Pearls and Pearl Farm Tours are owned and operated by the Banfield family who operate pearl farm tours and four retail jewellery stores in Broome and one retail jewellery store in Perth.
Willie Creek Pearls, who also operate the historical Pearl Luggers Tour in Broome, host more than 60,000 visitors at their attractions each year.
Tony Maio, CEO of Willie Creek Pearls, says the Autore boutique will add a key element to the company’s “award-winning tourist operations” which attract more than 60,000 visitors each year.
“The new store will showcase Autore’s unique jewellery collections providing Willie Creek visitors access to pieces from Autore’s exquisite Essential, Boutique, Scheherazade, Oceania, Fire & Ice, and new Venezia collections.”
The new boutique, located at 31 Dampier Terrace in Broome, is Autore’s second retail outlet in Australia – the company launched its flagship boutique in King Street, Sydney, in December.
Rosario Autore said the Sydney boutique is performing “better than expected in a challenging retail environment”.
He said “there are no firm plans to open anymore stores within Australia in the next two years”.
