The upcoming Jewellery Industry Fair in Melbourne will shine an exciting spotlight on the future of Australian jewellery design and craftsmanship, as Melbourne Polytechnic proudly announces that its Apprentice of the Year Awards and Cert III Jewellery Manufacture Graduation will be held on the 1st of February at the Fair.
The Fair will provide a platform for Melbourne Polytechnic graduates to celebrate and connect with the jewellery industry. “This is a fantastic opportunity for our graduates to connect with industry professionals and celebrate the hard work they have put in during their studies,” said Laura Eyles Program Leader at Melbourne Polytechnic.
The Jewellery Industry Fair is well-regarded for bringing together retailers, designers, suppliers, and manufacturers. Melbourne Polytechnic’s involvement bridges the gap between education and industry, giving graduates direct access to potential employers, collaborators, and customers.
This collaboration with the Jewellery Industry Fair highlights Melbourne Polytechnic’s emphasis on industry readiness, preparing students to excel in competitive markets. Many alumni from the program have gone on to establish successful careers, both domestically and internationally, and the Fair offers the latest cohort a chance to follow in those footsteps.
“Events like these are crucial for emerging jewellers,” said Laura Moore, Managing Director of the Jewellery Industry Network. “It’s an incredible opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals and potentially strike up a conversation that could lead to a bright future in the industry.”
The Jewellery Industry Fair will take place at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne from 1st – 2nd February 2025.
