An Australian win at the International Design Awards.
Australia’s own Nadia Neuman has taken out the Champion of Champions awards at the 7th International Jewellery Design Excellence Award (IJDE) in Hong Kong this week at the HKTDC International Jewellery Show.

Sydney based designer and owner of Mondial by Nadia, comes from a rich history of jewellers with the Neuman family being one of the very first jewellers to purchase pink diamonds directly from the argyle mine.
Their family legacy extends to multiple areas of the industry with Nadia now at the helm of the business with her stunning boutique in The Strand Sydney.

Kaleidoscope, created by Nadia and her team of jewellers, is designed with interchangeable components and can be worn in a number of ways and features a fully functioning kaleidoscope. It showcases the beauty and versatility of natural coloured diamonds in both polished and rough forms.
Exhilarated with the win, Nadia said the judges said her piece showed ‘heart and passion and it was so nice to see something so unique and from Australia’.
The 18ct yellow and white gold pendant, featuring 32.26cts of coloured and white diamonds, showcases the artistry of natural champagne, yellow, cognac, orange, blue, and pink diamonds, and won the Supreme Award at the 2023 Diamond Guild of Australia Awards.
The awards presented on the 4th March, brought together dozens and dozens of competition winners from all over the world to compete for the prestigious title of Champion of Champions. Finalists of the International Winners, included designs from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia, China, Iran, Australia and the UK.
The IJDE award, received 80 entries from 9 countries and regions around the world, 7 being from Australia. The Champion of Champions award trophy, was designed by Top-class International Jewellery Design Master Mr Wallace Chan.
The prestigious judging panel included, Mr Lawrence Ma, Chairman of the HKTDC International Jewellery Show, Ms Jessica Fong, Director of Unicorn Jewelry Design Co., Ms Loletta Lai, Head of Marketing Natural Diamonds APAC De Beers Group, Mr Olivier Segura Gemologists and Scientific Director L’ecole School of Jewelry Arts, Ms Belinda Yuen, Associate Specialist Jewellery Department Christie’s Hong Kong Limited, Mr Giovanni Micera, Editor in Chief, Preziosa Magazine, and Mrs Bebe Bakhshi, Blogger and Influencer Champagne Gems.

Nadia was accompanied by Sonia Leydman, Specialist Consultant at Mondial by Nadia, to Hong Kong to accept the award.
