Former No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani is engaged to a country singer Blake Shelton, and with only an indistinct Instagram photograph to work with, jewellery experts are making valiant efforts to describe and value her custom designed engagement ring.
Brilliant Earth Forevermark merchandising manager Kylie Bee believes the centre stone is either a cushion or round brilliant diamond,estimating its value at hundreds of thousands of dollars. Brilliant Earth’s SVP of merchandising and retail expansion Kathryn Money had a much more detailed response: “a classic, six-prong setting with a 6-9 carat solitaire diamond set on a white gold or platinum band” valued at around $500,000.
Katie Zimmerman, CMO at Blue Nile saw “a round or oval cut, set in a solitaire or simple pave platinum setting. With the centre stone nearly reaching Gwen’s middle knuckle, I estimate the total weight of her engagement ring to be approximately 8-10 carats at a value of $700,000-$800,000 depending on the colour and clarity of the diamonds.”
